As we get deeper into the Android 14 season, it’s conventional to see Android OEMs pull up their Android that will be merged with the stock Android 14 creating their aesthetics and functionalities. In the case of the Korean tech giant, Samsung, it’s the OneUI 6 based on Android 14. Well, sources have revealed the popular Samsung Galaxy phones that might not be a partaker of the OneUI 6. Let’s take a look.
OneUI 6 is not for these Samsung Galaxy phones
Samsung has promised four significant Android upgrades for its flagship Galaxy S series phones following the debut of the Galaxy S21 series in 2021. This is in addition to the three years of major Android upgrades that Google provides Pixel customers. Hearing this can only leave you scratching your head, given that Google is the developer of the Google Mobile Services version of Android.
This implies that customers who own a Galaxy S21 phone will still receive two major Android upgrades. These devices will receive Android 14 this year and Android 15 the next year. The line came pre-installed with Android 11. The Galaxy A33, Galaxy A53, Galaxy A73, and subsequent devices are also eligible for four years of significant Android upgrades.
