Samsung continues to bring the One UI 6.1 update to eligible users. Unlike the S21 rollout, the Galaxy S21 FE One UI 6.1 update is rolling out in the USA, but only a few users are getting the update. We expect more units to join the party in the coming days, but you can always check for the upgrade.

Galaxy S21 FE One UI 6.1 update

One UI 6.1 rollout initially arrives in Korea before making its way to other regions, but it’s a different situation with the latest release. Galaxy S21 FE in the US is getting a 2.3 GB package with version number G990U2SQU8GXDG. From the build version, the update is for carrier-locked models.

Those on T-Mobile are getting the much-anticipated upgrade, which will soon arrive on other carriers and unlocked versions. As expected, the update introduced some Galaxy AI features. It’s toned down from what it’s obtainable with the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S22 One UI 6.1 update, but it was expected.

Nevertheless, we recommend installing the update when prompted after backing up your data. We expect another update for the device soon since the latest release could only push the Android security patch level to April 1, 2024.
