Samsung is rolling out the Galaxy S22 February 2024 security patch update to users in the US. The latest release is exclusive to the unlocked version but might take time to arrive on all eligible phones.
It’s been weeks since Samsung started rolling out the February 2024 security patch but only released the update to the unlocked version of the Galaxy S22 in the US. As usual, the update is rolling out via OTA and will take time before it becomes available for download.
Nevertheless, you can check for the update as we have received the package on our Galaxy S22 Ultra. It’s a 398MB package that delivers some bug fixes and optimization. The update addressed over 72 security vulnerabilities, and we recommend you install it when prompted.
The update is rolling out with a version number S90xU1UES4DXA1. It’s probably the last OTA before the much-anticipated One UI 6.1 release, which is expected to bring some Galaxy AI features to the device. If you are using the unlocked version of the Galaxy S22 in the US, you can check for the update now.
