Samsung is now rolling out the Galaxy S22 July 2022 security patch update. The tech company started the rollout last week with the Galaxy A32 and has now extended the release to its premium devices.
The Galaxy S22 July 2022 security patch update is currently exclusive to units in Asia. It has version number S90xEXXU2AVF9 and weighs 531MB. Coming along with the update is a new security patch level dated 1 July 2022. Supposedly, the build has improved system security, fixed bugs, and improved performance, while some system apps got updated to the latest version.
Unfortunately, we couldn’t find out the security and privacy vulnerabilities patched with the latest build, as Google is yet to release the July 2022 patch bulletin. The company is expected to start seeding the patch update to Pixels phones later today, along with the security and privacy fixes.
Meanwhile, we expect the Galaxy S22 July 2022 security patch to extend to other regions in the coming days. It will be available for the Galaxy S22, S22 Plus, and S22 Ultra. For now, those in Asia can navigate to settings>>system updates>>download and install, and then follow the screen instruction to install the update.
