With the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S23 already running the One UI 6.1.1 update, it is only a matter of time before the update starts rolling out to the Galaxy S22 series. As expected, Samsung has started rolling out the Galaxy S22 One UI 6.1.1 update.
After the initial One UI 6.1.1 release, questions were asked whether the Galaxy S22 series will receive the update. Samsung didn’t include the phones in their press release, making people believe they won’t upgrade the device. Of course, the list only had phones on the first wave, as Samsung was always going to release the Galaxy S22 One UI 6.1.1 update.
The upgrade is rolling out in South Korea with version number S90xNKSU5EXH7. It comes in a 2.8 GB package with the September 2024 security patch alongside all the expected features, aside from those exclusive to the Galaxy S24 series.

Samsung is rolling out the update in Korea. We don’t know when the rollout will start in Europe or the US, but we anticipate that next week. Nevertheless, you can check for the upgrade via Settings>>System update>>Download and install. Ensure that you backup your device before installing the update.
