Samsung has released the Galaxy S22 One UI 6.1 update to eligible but limited users. They confirmed the rollout some weeks ago, and now, users of the S22 series can install the much-anticipated upgrade, which brings tons of AI features.
Since the debut of Galaxy S24 with One UI 6.1, older Galaxy phone users have been anticipating the release. The update arrived on the S23 series a few weeks ago, while Samsung confirmed the Galaxy S22 series for May 2024. As expected, the Galaxy S22 One UI 6.1 update is rolling out but limited to a few regions.
At the time of this report, only users in South Korea are getting the much-anticipated upgrade. It comes with a version number S90xNKSU3EXDC and weighs 3102.88 MB. According to reports, the update brings AI features to the device but still misses out on some, as expected.
The Galaxy S22 One UI 6.1 update fails to deliver improved single-take mode, instant Slow-Mo, and others. However, circle-to-search, real-time call translation, web page summaries, and interpreter capabilities are available.
Unfortunately, we cannot confirm the security patch level rolling out with the update, but we guess it’s the April 2024 patch. Samsung will release another update to address issues reported after the upgrade.
