Samsung started the distribution of the July 2022 security patch last week, meaning they were ahead of Google. Hence, the security and privacy vulnerabilities patched with the latest patch weren’t made available until some days ago when Google began seeding the update to its Pixel phones. As expected, the Galaxy S22 Plus July 2022 security patch comes with bug fixes and improvements.
The latest build is currently seeding for the Galaxy S22 Plus in the UK with software firmware S906B0XM2AVF5 and weighs 380MB. According to the changelog, the update has improved the overall stability of functions and security of the device. It also includes device stability improvements and bug fixes, while there might be an introduction of new features.
Aside from improving performance and fixing bugs, some system apps have been updated to the latest version. And given the July 2022 bulletin, 33 vulnerabilities ranging from high to critical were resolved. We recommend installing the update when prompted to improve your system security and stability.
