While other OEMs are already organizing public beta tests for Android 15, Samsung is still previewing the next Android OS internally. The South Korean company is focusing on the One UI 6.1.1 update, expected to start seeding next month. With the recent reports, we expect the Android 15-based One UI 7 public beta to begin after the rollout.
Samsung usually starts its public beta for the next Android OS in August or September. With few flagship phones now seen running Android 15-based on One UI 7, we believe the release is imminent. We first saw the Galaxy S24+ with Android 15 on the Geekbench benchmark website, and now, the Galaxy S23 Ultra has been seen rocking the new Android OS with One UI 7.
When is Galaxy S23 Ultra Android 15-based One UI 7 rolling out?
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra running Android 15-based One UI 7 build on Geekbench doesn’t mean the update will roll out soon. However, we believe the company has reached a milestone in the testing, meaning the public beta will soon commence.
It takes months and a series of beta releases before the build becomes stable for public rollout. In addition, Google will release the stable build before it arrives on Samsung phones. We expect the release in October for Pixel phones, meaning Galaxy phone users should expect the rollout from September.
