Samsung started the Galaxy S23 One UI 6.1.1 rollout last week, with some users still waiting for the upgrade. While the update introduced many features, it seems to have broken the camera zoom on the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
Galaxy S23 Ultra users have taken to Reddit and the Samsung community to report issues with their camera zoom. Many people are having problems with pictures taken between 16x and 19.9x zoom. These photos have ghosting shadows and blurry issues. Interestingly, images taken at other zoom levels don’t have these problems.
Samsung acknowledges the Galaxy S23 Ultra camera zoom issues
After many reports on the Samsung community, the company has acknowledged the issue and promised to fix it. Perhaps the reason they released the One UI 6.1.1 update with the August 2024 security patch is because they planned a quick update to address these sorts of problems.
We expect the new update to address the Zoom issue to start rolling out soon, but if you use any of these Zoom levels and haven’t upgraded to One UI 6.1.1, you might wait for the next release. We don’t know when the update will be available, but you can follow our social media platforms to be updated.
