Samsung is working hard to make up for the delays of the One UI 7. The Korean company has released the One UI 8 beta build to the Galaxy S25 series. Although there is no official release plan for the beta build, it appears that the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S23 will receive the update soon.

Unlike stable releases, there is usually no release schedule for beta previews. We know it’s time for the rollout when a beta program group is created in the Community forum. So far, the Galaxy S22 beta group is live, and it’s looking more obvious that the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S23 will join the preview.
When will the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S23 One UI 8 beta start rolling out?
There is no official time frame as to when Samsung will start rolling out the One UI 8 Beta build for the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S23. According to Tarun Vats on X, the duo will get an upgrade in the coming weeks. The Galaxy S24 One UI 8 Beta is expected this June, While Galaxy S23 users might have to wait till July.
Meanwhile, there’s a chance we won’t see these updates released on these dates. During the One UI 7 beta preview, it took months for other phones to join after the release to Galaxy S24. Hence, we advise you to take the information with a pinch of salt, as beta previews are never straightforward. There might be delays.
We already know Samsung will not be making many changes with the upcoming update. There will probably be a few changes on Android 16, which will arrive with the One UI 8. And while the Galaxy S25 series phones are currently testing the build, we understand the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 will run the new OS first.
The duo will arrive in July. Hence, we can expect to see a stable Android 16-based One UI 8 update in July. Of course, the Galaxy S25 will get the update first after the official release. Galaxy S24, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Galaxy Z Flip6 will follow.
