After the Galaxy S24 One UI 6.1.1 update was released in South Korea last week, Samsung confirmed plans to bring the upgrade to more countries today. As expected, though surprising, the update is rolling out in China, while those in Europe and America are still waiting.
The release date for the One UI 6.1.1 update in Europe is today, with those in the US expected to get the update as well. Since it’s now available in China, it’s only a matter of time before other regions start getting the much-anticipated upgrade.
Samsung confirmed that after installing the upgrade, your One UI version stays as One UI 6.1. However, you will get all the AI features, bug fixes, and improvements, and surprisingly, it’s rolling out with the August 2024 security patch. Perhaps Samsung plans to release another update soon with the latest security patch.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S24 One UI 6.1.1 update, version S9280ZHU3AXH7, is rolling out. As usual, it’s a staged rollout, meaning it will take some time before arriving on every device. You can check the update via the settings app and install it from there.

Samsung is rolling out the update to the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra in China. You can install the update from Settings>>System update>>Download and install. Since it’s a 2.8GB package, we recommend installing it over Wi-Fi.
