Samsung expands the One UI 6.1.1 update release to the Galaxy S24 series in the US. The phones are getting the latest upgrade but without the new security patch. Another update could start rolling out for the devices in that region after the current release.
As promised, Samsung has released One UI 6.1.1 update in the US for the Galaxy S24 series. The update is rolling out with a firmware version S928USQU3AXH7. It’s the Carrier-locked models that are getting the much-anticipated upgrade, with expansion expected later.
Samsung is pushing the One UI 6.1.1 update with the August 2024 security patch instead of the latest version. Perhaps the tech company plans for a new update after the current release. That’s probably the case, as they will want to address any issues that might surface after the installation.
Nevertheless, we haven’t seen any major software bugs, and we can assume the update is stable. Ensure to back up your data before installing the update so you don’t lose your data should factory reset be required.
