After the early rumors, Samsung has officially confirmed the Galaxy S24 unpacked event. The much-anticipated event will happen on January 17, and we are expect to see new Samsung innovations.
Samsung will introduce the Galaxy AI, which is expected to take on Google’s AI. The company’s generative AI will bring better night-mode photos, live translation for calls, and other software optimization. More interesting is the Magic Editor, which will allow users to perform advanced photo editing.
These features will debut with the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra. The phones will run One UI 6.1 outside of the box, which integrates these AI features, meaning older Samsung phones might get the new additions since the update will be released to them.
The event will start at 10 AM Pacific time, 1 PM Eastern Time, 6 PM in the UK, 7 PM CET, and 11:30 PM in India. Those in South Korea, China, and Australia will join the live stream in the early hours of January 18.
From the leaks so far, the Galaxy S24 will keep the design language of its predecessor. Interestingly, the prices will not be going up, with the S24 and S24+ expected to be more affordable in Europe, which might affect US prices as well. We expect to know the details of the pricing and the specs after the official unveiling on January 17.
