Yesterday, the One UI watch Beta program was announced. It is going to make its way to the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and will be the first beta program to be available on Wear OS. The feature was scheduled to be seeded from June 2. But now the Galaxy Watch 4 Beta recruitment is ongoing as the sign-up is already live in the US.
The Galaxy Watch 4 Beta can be accessed on the Samsung’s Members app and will bear some improvements like a new Wear OS skin and of course an enhanced OneUI. Moving into the Samsung’s Members app, there is a “One UI Watch Beta” card displayed at the top.
How to enrol on the Galaxy Watch 4 Beta program
The Galaxy Watch 4 Beta on the app gives a preview of what the users will get on installation, in terms of UX, and other exciting features. Samsung gave a few instructions on the registration and installation. After registering through the Samsung Members app on your device,
- Log in with your Samsung account, if you don’t have one, you could create an account on the Samsung account site
- After logging into the Samsung members app, select Notices and then proceed for registration of the One UI watch Beta.
- Complete and then submit the application form. If you reach the participation criteria, then you’ll be enrolled.
- Having enrolled successfully, you will get an update notification at the start of the beta
- Moving to the settings, software updates and then downloading and installing will mean your device has gotten the package.
It seems using the Galaxy Watch 4 Beta requires your Samsung device, though it seems possible that the package will be available when paired to another device. That said, once in the program, you can’t get out, and if you had enrolled and left, you can’t re-apply due to limited slots. Samsung still says it won’t be rolling it out until June 2, this is just an application process so users can get in on the process.
