It’s no shocker that the Google Assistant has made its way to the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4, courtesy of Google, and it sure looks amazing following some reviews from most tech enthusiasts. Galaxy Watch 4 Google Assistant is however still rolling out gradually, and as such it is only available in a few countries and languages.
While the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 is a collaboration between Samsung and Google, a lot of tech users wondered why it took so long for the Galaxy Watch 4 Google Assistant to come off. Well, better late than never, the feature is available on the wearable and it seems like it’s the only smartwatch in the market bearing this feat on Wear OS 3. Although Google Assistant has been making its way to other Wear OS since 2018, the Galaxy Watch is the only Wear OS 3 in the market with this feature.
That said, it wouldn’t be long before the just debuted Pixel Watch joined the party as Google stated that the wearable was going to debut with Wear OS 3. The Korean brand considers Galaxy Watch 4 Google Assistant as an exclusive package for the Korean brand, leaving out their usual Tizen OS on the watch and adopting Wear OS.
The Google Assistant will be available in 12 languages namely Danish, English(American, Canadian, Irish, United Kingdom, Australian), Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French and Taiwanese. And speaking of country availability, it’s only available in ten markets(Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, UK and the US)and as such, users should be patient as everyone would get a share of the cake.
How to get Galaxy Watch 4 Google Assistant
Once it’s fully rolled out, you could access Google Assistant and download it via the on-device Playstore. After it’s been installed, navigate to your Settings, then App and click on Google > Assistant. A preference page would appear enabling one to choose a hotword as well as speech output. Furthermore, to launch the Google Assistant, you can hold down the Home Key.
