We are expecting the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series, the successor to the Galaxy Watch 5, very soon, and (of course) we’ve got leaks flying around online. Recent leaks have revealed the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic battery capacity. Let’s take a look.
Details of the Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic battery capacity
What is probably the whole Galaxy Watch 6 line has received certification from Samsung. The regular Galaxy Watch 6 has already been identified, but as the photos(attached in this article via notebookchecknet) demonstrate, recent certifications have revealed battery capacity for four other Galaxy Watch 6 versions.
By the way, earlier this month, GalaxyClub found an analogous certification for the Galaxy Watch 5’s LTE edition, identified by its SM-R935x model number. Samsung intends to supply the following models and battery capacities based on the information provided:
- Galaxy Watch 6 40mm: 300mAh
- Galaxy Watch 6 44mm: 425mAh
- Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 42mm: 300mAh
- Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 46mm: 425mAh
By comparison, the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will have 5.6% larger batteries than the Galaxy Watch 5, but just 3.6% larger batteries than its larger sister.
There is no fixed release date for the Galaxy Watch 6 series either. If Samsung follows the same pattern as in past years, the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic should be available in August during a live-streamed launch event. Samsung will also launch the Galaxy Z series, which is likely to include the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5.
