As Xiaomi continues to release the Android 14-HyperOS update, more reports are coming in. The latest issues seem to affect the Gboard when Android Auto is connected, while some apps are not working.
Since the initial HyperOS release, there have been reports of bugs. It seems to have increased with more units now running the update. Fortunately, the company is working on a solution, which they have started rolling out to some phones. However, the latest report seems to focus on new issues recently discovered, but we believe a fix will still come for the affected users.
The Gboard displays abnormally when Android Auto is active
It’s unclear what caused the issue, but we hope to know when Xiaomi finishes its analysis. However, the bug seems exclusive to the Xiaomi 13 series in Russia, running a stable HyperOS build. Those affected are OS1.0.1.0.UMARUXM, OS1.0.2.0.UMBRUXM, OS1.0.2.0.UMCRUXM
Bank apps not working
Banking apps like Halifax and Lloyds are not working on the Xiaomi 13 series after the recent upgrade to HyperOS. Those in Europe, India, and Global users running stable OS1.0.4.0.UMAMIXM, OS1.0.1.0.UMBMIXM, OS.0.1.0.UMBEUXM, OS1.0.1.0.UMBINXM, OS.0.1.0.UMCMIXM, OS1.0.1.0.UMCEUXM are having problems with their bank apps.
According to Xiaomi, the issue has been identified, and the app developers have been notified, while a fix is being worked on. We don’t know when a new update (for the bank apps) will arrive, but you can check for it on Google Play Store.
India mAadhaar APP cannot be used issue
It doesn’t seem like a HyperOS problem, as all devices in India are affected. However, the cause has been identified, and a fix is already being worked on. We expect a new update to the app soon to resolve the issue. Of course, there’s a chance an update is available, and we recommend checking the Play Store.
