Xiaomi has been seeding the stable MIUI 13 build in China for some time, and it seems the time is now right for the global launch. The Chinese company will have a product launch in the coming days to debut the Redmi Note 11 series phones globally. They’ll also announce the global MIUI 13 release plan for its international devices running MIUI on top of Android.
It’s been a couple of weeks since the MIUI 13 Android skin debuted in China. The latest build has already reached a handful of Xiaomi phones in that region, with the global MIUI 13 launch expected in the coming days. From the Chinese release, we expect to see a handful of important features arrive for global users. These include improved app fluency, device security, new widgets, and wallpapers. It’s unclear whether the MiSans font will be part of the global MIUI 13, and we hope to find out after the official unveiling.
According to the latest poster, Xiaomi will release the Global MIUI 13 soon. It didn’t say any date in particular. However, because they already scheduled a launch event on January 26 for the Redmi Note 11 series, we expect to see the new iteration of MIUI released for global users. We hope to learn about the release plan during the launch event, although we expect flagship phones of last year to get the update first.
That said, we recommend that you follow our tracker page to know when the update starts seeding Globally. We update the tracker to reflect new Xiaomi phones that have received the update.
