Xiaomi has started rolling out the much-anticipated HyperOS upgrade to the global POCO F3. The update is seeding for select units, with more people getting it after the beta preview, which will take about two weeks. However, you can install the Recovery ROM with an authorized Mi Beta account.
It is exactly eight days since the Redmi K40 started getting the HyperOS update in China. Since it’s the Chinese version of the POCO F3, we anticipated the update to arrive on global units soon. That’s the case, as Global POCO F3 HyperOS is now available for download.
The update is rolling out with a version OS1.0.2.0.TKHMIXM and weighs 1.6GB. Unfortunately, the update didn’t bring a new OS upgrade but has bumped the Android security patch level to February 2024 to increase system security and stability. In addition, it brought new Animation language, all-new system fonts, a redesigned weather app, enhanced security, and more.
While waiting for the Global POCO F3 HyperOS update, ensure your bootloader is locked. Also, check all the reported HyperOS bugs and backup your data before installing the update, as there have been cases of bugs after the upgrade. We expect more regions to start getting the update soon, and you can follow our social media platforms to know when the update is available in your region.
