It has been months since the POCO X3 NFC received Android 11 in Europe. The update was anticipated to arrive on global models after a few weeks, but it has taken till now for the Global POCO X3 NFC Android 11 to start seeding. Even with the delay, the update is still a limited rollout, meaning it’s now widely available at the moment. However, you can still upgrade via recovery when you download the ROM.
Xiaomi is winding down on the Android 11 rollout with the next iteration already in a stable beta phase. It’s the turn of the global variants of the POCO X3 NFC to get the taste of Android 11, but immediately after that, third-party launchers will stop working. You’ll have to revert to the system launcher pending when Xiaomi addresses the issue, and hopefully, it will be soon.
Meanwhile, the global POCO X3 NFC Android 11 update has a version number – MIUI 12.0.1.0 RJGMIXM. It’s the first cross-section upgrade for the device in that region, and hence, we recommend you back your data before upgrading. That’s necessary due to high complaints from early Android 11 adopters, which took some time before Xiaomi could address it. Of course, not all the problems have been addressed, but we expect further improvement with MIUI 12.5.
Given the speed at which Xiaomi is rolling out the update, it won’t be long till it gets to the POCO X3 NFC. That said, you should keep an eye on our tracker page to know when the update starts seeding in your region.
