The long wait for the POCO X3 NFC MIUI 12.5 update is finally over, at least for the global models. It’s coming rather late, as the official rollout hinted at an early release. However, the device was upgraded to Android 11, and that delayed the deployment of MIUI 12.5. Xiaomi was always going to upgrade the device to MIUI 12.5, which we anticipated the build start arriving this month. As expected, the global POCO X3 NFC MIUI 12.5 update has been released for limited users.
Xiaomi POCO X3 NFC is the latest device to bag the new iteration of MIUI. The rollout is limited to the global variants at the moment, and it is only select users receiving the update. It will probably extend to the public in the coming days after a successful beta preview, and hopefully, other regions will start getting the update.
Meanwhile, the global POCO X3 NFC MIUI 12.5 update is seeding with a version number – MIUI 12.5.1.0 RKGMIXM. It weighs in at 2.4GB. The update brings the features of the new MIUI OS to address some bugs left by MIUI 12. However, the third-party launcher compatibility issue and the square chat bubbles are still there. Hopefully, the device receives a new update in the future that’ll address those problems.
Interestingly, the global POCO X3 NFC MIUI 12.5 update has bumped the Android security patch level to July 2021. It has increased system security and stability while improving performance. And going by the update log, response to gesture is now instant, and MIUI has become smoother, lighter, and faster. Also, there has been a reduction in background memory usage and power consumption.
