One week ago, Xiaomi released a new update to Global Redmi 9T users. The update brought a new security patch to increase system security and fortify the device for a seamless upgrade to MIUI 14. As expected, the global Redmi 9T MIUI 14 update is seeding, however, it’s exclusive to Mi Pilots.
The stable MIUI 14 update has been rolling out since December, and it’s probably in the last phase. Perhaps, that’s why devices without support for OS upgrades have been getting the update. Of course, the Global Redmi 9T MIUI 14 update sans the Android 13 upgrade, but introduced features of MIUI 14 to improve your device performance.
The update is rolling out with a version number MIUI 14.0.3.0 SJQMIXM and weighs 468MB. It brings the March 2023 security patch to increase system security. Search in Settings is now advanced after the upgrade, and we believe the Photon Engine is part of the package, as it improves the performance of all Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO phones.
Meanwhile, only Mi Pilot members are getting the update for preview. We expect a public rollout in the coming days or follow us on Telegram to know when the update becomes available in your region.
