The Android 15-based HyperOS 2 update is in full swing as Redmi Note 13 starts getting the much-expected upgrade. It is a global release limited to a few users for preview, but we expect more people to get the upgrade soon, or you can install it manually.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Android 15 update is rolling with version number OS2.0.4.0. VNGMIXM. It comes in a 4.7 GB package with all the expected features, except for the AI ones limited to flagship phones. Meanwhile, after installing the update, you will notice an improvement in performance, thanks to the Dynamic Memory, Xiaomi HyperCore, and the non-uniform calculation.
In addition, the update brings the November 2024 security patch to increase system security while the Android OS version moves to 15. Unfortunately, the rollout is not yet widely available, as only a few users have been granted access to preview it. However, we expect a public release soon, given the limited reports of bugs from the early adopters.
How to download the Redmi Note 13 Android 15-based HyperOS 2 update
Again, the update is limited to Mi Pilot members. Currently, you can only access the ROM via the updater app, as the company has yet to upload it to the server. While we expect them to do so soon, ensure to back up your files before installing the update. It is the first cross-section Android upgrade for the device, and there is a chance it contains bugs. Also, some system apps are yet to adapt to the new OS, which can cause glitches and overheating.
