A fresh Global stable beta testers recruitment is ongoing

Global stable beta testers

Xiaomi has come under fire because of the bugs found on almost all their stable releases. The company, in a Q&A session it held a couple of weeks ago, acknowledged the issues. According to them, they haven’t focused on stability and coupled with resources needed for the adoption of Android 11, it seems the bugs have increased. That triggered a global stable beta testers recruitment (Mi Pilots) that’ll test each stable release before pushing them to the public. The recruitment has been ongoing for some time, however, the initial thread is now down. Luckily, there’s a new thread on the Mi community forum for those that wish to join the global stable beta testers.

Meanwhile, if you applied before now and your name is on the list of selected global stable beta testers, there’s no need to apply again. And a reminder that these groups of people will test updates before it starts rolling out to the public. That means that you should have tolerance for issues, the ability to recover phones when flashing fails, and be able to report bugs to developers.

Also, you must be running a Global Stable ROM on your device before you can apply. Asking for a transfer to join another team after you have been selected won’t be accepted. Finally, only join if you’re willing and up to 18yrs or above.
