Xiaomi, after much anticipation, released the MIUI 13 Android skin yesterday. The latest iteration of MIUI presents new features, although most of them are optimizations. It seems the company is focusing on improving the stability of MIUI, something they’ve neglected until recently. With the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update, Xiaomi addressed most problems with MIUI, and they’re doing the same with MIUI 13. The UI is currently available in China, and we expect the global stable MIUI 13 release in the coming weeks.
The global stable MIUI 13 release is expected to start in Q1 of 2022. That’s according to the Moderator in the Mi community forum. We expect a global launch of the latest iteration of MIUI if past events are something to go by. However, given that the build didn’t present many features, the company might take MIUI 12.5 Enhanced rollout approach.
What it means is that there’ll be no official global launch, although we expect a special event to present the update globally. At least, the company will release its latest flagship phones to the Global markets, and we expect the global release of MIUI 13. But, since the global stable MIUI 13 release plan has been released, they might skip the presentation.
According to the global stable MIUI 13 release plan, as seen in the Xiaomi Mi community, the update will start seeding in Q1 of 2022. Unfortunately, there’s no particular date for the rollout, but we expect the rollout a few weeks after the Chinese release. Both regions are likely to start pushing build simultaneously, as MIUI 13 isn’t much of an upgrade.
Also, note that some features of the current MIUI build won’t be coming to global users. Perhaps, a reason for a global presentation, for the company to point out these features. We hope to hear from the company about the global rollout schedule, but here’s the supposed global stable MIUI 13 release plan.
