Xiaomi is still rolling out the Android 15-based HyperOS 2 update. The Chinese company is upgrading its 2022 T-series phones, but it’s a limited rollout exclusive to a few regions. However, we expect an expansion in the coming days.

Xiaomi 12T Android 15-based HyperOS 2 update is not a surprise. The device was released in 2022, running Android 12 with a promise of three generations of Android OS updates. Two were released in the last two years, and with the latest update, the device has elapsed its OS support period.
Meanwhile, the Android 15 update is rolling out with a build number OS2.0.2.0. VLQMIXM and weighs 5.7GB in size. It’s a big update as it brings loads of new features and optimizations. These include Alive Design Philosophy, Xiaomi HyperCore, and tons of AI features. Xiaomi HyperConnect seems to be missing, perhaps, the device doesn’t have the resources to support it. Also, we can confirm the device didn’t get Circle to Search with this update. Maybe it will come with a future update.
Nevertheless, there has been a massive performance improvement, and animation has gotten better. Security has been improved as the update comes with a new security patch. We recommend installing the update when prompted, or you can check for it manually.
How to download the Xiaomi 12T Android 15-based HyperOS 2 update

Xiaomi is rolling out the update in batches, so it will take time to arrive on your device. If you have an authorized Mi Beta account, you can install the Recovery ROM manually. However, ensure you have your files backed up.
What happens after the Android 15 upgrade?
Unfortunately, the latest update is the last major release for the device, having elapsed its software support period. However, it will continue to receive security patch updates for the next few months before moving to the EOL list next year. Perhaps you should start looking at the Xiaomi 14T or wait for the Xiaomi 15T as a potential upgrade.
