The Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro launched in China and the Chinese can get to preorder the smartphones from December 14. The global Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro will soon be launched, according to the Chinese OEM’s CEO.
Xiaomi CEO, Lei Jun, also mentioned that the series will having an Ultra version as well. So while we are anticipating the Global Xiaomi 13 and the 13 Pro, we will be getting the Xiaomi 13 Ultra as well. Looking at previous global launches of Xiaomi smartphones, the global Xiaomi 13 series might be coming in sometime in February or March – a bit far but yet close, the year is almost over.
Features to expect from the global Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro
As the series was launched in China, we got our hands on the features of the series and they’re very sleek. The global Xiaomi 13 series will probably take up those features as well. The Xiaomi 13’s display measures 6.36 inches diagonally and is equipped with 1080 x 2400 Pixel resolution and of course, a 120Hz refresh rate. These high-end features together with Dolby Vision, HLG support, and HDR10+ are integrated into this smartphone.
The camera setup is Leica integrated and will be bearing a 50 MP main camera sensor, in addition to this, there’s the telephoto lens(absent on the Xiaomi 12). The 10MP camera alongside the main sensor gets OIS and together with the 12MP ultrawide lens(which is without autofocus), you should be getting the best out of the camera with this smartphone.
Some other features present on the smartphone are a 4500 mAh battery, 67W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, 10W reversed wireless charging, IP68 rating, Dolby Head tracking, IR blaster, and the MIUI 14 (probably).
The Pro’s display is equipped with 1440 x 3200 Pixel resolution alongside HDR10+, Dolby Vision, HLG support, ambient colour temperature sensor, and 120 Hz screen refresh rate(to be regulated, thanks to the LTPO panel).
The Xiaomi 13 Pro also gets UFS 4.0 Storage and LP-DDR5X memory. On to the camera section. It’s a triple 50MP camera setup(which comprises the main, telephoto and ultrawide sensors)however, there’s the 1-inch IMX989 sensor paired with a Leica branded lens and is equipped with Hyper OIS.
Some other features integrated into the Xiaomi 13 Pro are a 4820 mAh battery (housing a Surge G1 chip for safe charging), 120W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, 10W reverse wireless charging, Dolby Head tracking feature, Dolby Atmos speakers, IR blaster and IP68 rating.
The pricing for the Xiaomi 13 ranges from $575 to $720(in China), we don’t know if the global Xiaomi 13 will take up the same pricing. The Pro version ranges from $720 to $900, both series price is a function of the storage variant. We’ve not obtained all the features from the Ultra variant, but we’ll keep you posted once we do.
