Global Xiaomi Pad 6 HyperOS 2 update is now available for users in India. Check details below…
Xiaomi has started rolling out a new update to the global Pad 6 users. It’s the HyperOS 2 upgrade, and as expected, it does not bring a new Android OS upgrade. The device elapsed its OS support when it upgraded to Android 14 last year.
Last month, we confirmed that the Xiaomi Pad 6 HyperOS 2 update will not bring a new OS upgrade. The device is listed on the company’s software support page with one OS upgrade, which arrived last year. However, it’s still eligible for updates till June next year, making it eligible for HyperOS 2.
The global Xiaomi Pad 6 HyperOS 2 update is rolling out with version number OS2.0.2.0. UMZMIXM and weighs 2.4 GB in size. It comes with all the expected features, including Alive Design Philosophy, Xiaomi HyperCore, Xiaomi HyperConnect, and others. While you will not get an OS upgrade after installing the update, you will get a new security patch.
Meanwhile, the rollout is limited to Mi Pilot members for preview. It will take a couple of days before it becomes available for everyone, but with an authorized Mi Beta account, you can install the build manually. Ensure to back up your data before installing the update.

Unfortunately, the device will not get a major upgrade again. It will, however, get security patch updates for the next couple of months. Xiaomi will stop supporting the Tablet in June 2026, a few months from now. Perhaps you should start planning on a new device to purchase for when updates will stop coming for the device.
Update: March 05, 2025
A few days after the global release, Xiaomi is seeding the HyperOS 2 update in India for the Pad 6. Unfortunately, the update does not come with a new Android OS, meaning the Tablet stays on Android 14 after installing the new upgrade. However, the company has introduced loads of new features, optimization and fixed bugs to improve your experience with the device.
The update has a build number OS2.0.1.0. UMZINXM. We understand those in Indonesia are getting the upgrade, but with a different build number – OS2.0.1.0. UMZIDXM. Unfortunately, the Recovery ROMs are yet to be uploaded to the server, and you can only install via the updater app.
