Though quite surprising that the Google Pixel 6 did not launch with the Face Unlock among its amazing features and sleek hardware design, Rumors have surfaced online that Google is likely to Face Unlock to the Pixel 6 pro soon.
The Pixel 6 pro, the flagship of the Google Pixel, was launched with the Android 12 and of course Google tensor chipset as well as an octa-core processor. Even though the device is said to rival one of the Apple series flagship devices, it did not bear the Face Unlock, which some Android users fancy a lot.
The Big G working on a face unlock for the Pixel 6 pro was confirmed by an XDA recognized developer, Freak07, who spotted a new change related to the feature in the PowerHAL configuration file in Android 12 QPR3 Beta 1.1. Google seems to tag the internal code name for the face unlock as Tuscany. So with this one can say the Google is likely to bring Face unlock to the sleek Pixel 6 pro.
Presently, it’s only the fingerprint sensor that is available as a biometric authentication on the Pixel 6 series and it’s going to remain that way for the regular Pixel 6 as the face unlock is going for only the Pro version.
Google is likely to bring face unlock to the Pixel 6 pro. What else?
While we noticed that Google is likely to bring face unlock to the Pixel 6 pro, we are still yet to get more details on the update. We expect even more details about the Pixel 7 series and the Google Pixel watch with the codename Pixel Rohan in the May I/O 2022. The Android community can’t wait for May because it seems Google has a lot in store for us users.
