With everything going up, Google is also making changes to its Monthly YouTube premium subscription. The latest price increase will see individual subscriptions increased by $2, at least in the US.
The last time there was a rise in YouTube premium subscriptions was in 2018, during the launch of YouTube Music. Perhaps, Google believes it’s the right time for an increase. Although the company is yet to make an official announcement, the increment is already showing on YouTube.com/premium.
According to reports, YouTube Premium now costs $13.99. The new price seems exclusive to users in the US, although we expect other regions to get an increment too. Meanwhile, those subscribing from the iOS YouTube app will pay $18.99.
Interestingly, the family premium subscription remains at $22.99/month, but the annual individual subscription is now at $139, an increment of $20. That would still save you about $28, which is a great deal, instead of paying monthly.
And in following in the footsteps of Amazon and Apple, Good is also increasing YouTube Music premium subscriptions. The new price is $10.99 monthly from $9.99, which is only a $1 increment.
Currently, there hasn’t been an official announcement, hence, it’s unclear how the increment will affect existing subscribers. Perhaps you might see the new prices when you want to renew your subscription. Nevertheless, we expect an official announcement soon to clear things up from Google.
