The Big G has been releasing software updates to meet up with the complaints of most Google smartphone users worldwide. Pixel 6 series users have been facing some persistent issues that the company has made moves to fix by releasing some updates. However, the June Feature Drop update has come to fix more.
Most Pixel 6 users didn’t find the June Feature Drop update perfect as the Face Unlock function still had some issues, however, users noticed a huge effect of the fixes present in the update. The problems faced by the users included connectivity issues where the device just disconnects them from their wireless providers, in addition to a laggy fingerprint scanner that jeopardizes user experience.
Also, some users complained of battery drain, saying the 4600+mAh and 5000+mAh battery on the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro respectively could not offer them daily usage with the 5G and 90-120Hz refresh rate for a day. Most users were trying to note the improvements from the June Feature Drop update.
A Reddit user salcin96 wrote, “I work in an area, where a cellular connection is pretty borderline. But today, after the June update, my connection is more stable and network battery drain is under 5%. Looks promising!”. Some users also mentioned that smartphones aren’t feeling hot to touch after the update plus other amazing improvements.
Some users haven’t gotten the June Feature Drop update yet
Even with the reports of the package being on the rollout, two Reddit users said after installing an update, the battery still drains quickly and they just hope it gets better. Meanwhile, the rolling out of the June Feature Drop update is a gradual process and it will get to everyone in due time, although you can navigate to your Settings and then Software updates and then download and install when available.
