It has been a few weeks since Google released their latest flagship phones. These phones are already shipping, and it won’t be a new Pixel launch without some issues. Nevertheless, the company has managed to keep it low this time, which is commendable, given what we have witnessed in the past.
Google has finally found a way to manage the thermal throttling of their phones, as we haven’t heard of any issues since the Pixel 9 series debuted. However, there are cases of charging problems, which seem persistent with the Pixel 9 Pro XL.
Not all wireless chargers work with all phones, but Pixel 9 Pro XL users have tried many chargers, even Google’s in-house wireless charger. The problem has remained, and we are now seeing multiple reports on Reddit and Google forums.
We understand Google has acknowledged the problem and are supposedly working on a fix. However, if you are having issues juicing up your Pixel 9 Pro XL, we recommend you remove the case before charging. Some people claims that it works for them, and you might need to buy the original case if that’s why your device isn’t charging wireless.
As usual, not everyone has this issue, and the few reports are from Pixel 9 Pro XL users. It doesn’t seem to affect many people, meaning there might not be an OTA for that particular problem. Google will perhaps include a fix in the next OTA, expected early next month.
