Google Play has been getting a lot of tweaks recently. Play Store should be getting a new logo soon, Google Play System Updates was rolled out last month among other packages. Meanwhile, it’s quite pleasing to hear that the Google Play Games PC beta is now available for more countries worldwide.
Google Play Games PC beta, a way Windows users could enjoy Android Titles, started rolling out in March, however, it was limited to a few countries Hong Kong, Korea, and Taiwan. It is now reaching Australia and Thailand as the countries now appear on the Google support article waitlist.
Meanwhile, users in the newly added countries Australia and Thailand are yet to access the Google Play Games PC beta, however, they have seen a result of the tweak. Instead of the usual”the beta isn’t available in your region yet”, they get “join the wait-list”. Noticeably, the two countries aren’t reflecting on the Google Play Game PC beta landing page, but our guess is very soon.
Requirements for the Google Play Games PC beta
The addition of the two new countries to the package doesn’t change the requirements for the software. You still need
- 8GB of RAM
- 8 logical CPU cores
- Windows admin account
- Compatible PC device and configuration
- Hardware virtualization enabled
- Gaming class GPU
- 20GB of storage space
- Solid State Drive (SSD)
- Windows 10(v2004)
On engaging in the beta program, Google gifts the user with a PC check tool. While the Windows app is in a way similar to the Google Play redesign seen on the web, Google hopes to achieve a sleek experience in gaming on both mobile and desktop.
