The preview of the Big G’s soon to debut devices looked eye catchy and of course, caught the attention of most tech enthusiasts. The entire 2022 smartphone lineup comprised even the sleek Pixel 7, the Pixel Buds Pro, and the Pixel Watch down to next year’s Pixel Tablet. However, we didn’t get to see a Pixel Notepad, which means the release of Pixel Notepad isn’t expected anytime soon.
According to the Elec reports, the company delayed the release of Pixel Notepad after sources had reported the name for the second time earlier this year. It was revealed that the device was expected in late 2021 and it didn’t come off. That said, the release of Pixel Notepad was anticipated in Q4 2022 and it has been postponed yet again.
Sources proposed that the reason for the postponement might be that the device didn’t reach up to the expectations following some past rumours which said the Notepad was lagging behind compared to the Samsung Galaxy Fold series.
The release of Pixel Notepad will mark the launch of Google’s first foldable smartphone and according to 9to5google, the device is expected to have a form factor like the Oppo Find N and will feature a compact outer display plus a large and wider inner display.
Some details following the release of Pixel Notepad
9to5google also related that the outer display is a 5.78-inch panel with an inner display of 7.57 inches and ultra-thin glass. However, the delay of the Pixel Notepad might be a blessing in disguise as it might house the second generation of Tensor processors.
