A few weeks ago, it was announced that there will be Stadia refunds as the brand is ending its journey as regards anything gaming. Well, fortunately, the Google Stadia hardware refunds have begun as confirmed by 9to5google and even some folks on various social media platforms.
The Google Stadia hardware refunds aren’t just going out in the US but in other regions as well, according to sources. Talking about hardware refund, the piece of hardware from which users are getting their money back is the Stadia controller. It’s a $69 controller built specifically for the platform. The custom button layout is built with an assistant button, built-in WiFi (for communication during your gaming session) and Bluetooth integration.
In addition to the Google Stadia hardware refunds, it seems the brand will be refunding bundles as well which include Chromecast with Google TV(4k) and Chromecast Ultra. Users are seeing one or two refunds for hardware with an email receipt sent to their emails. As regards game refunds, Google will credit back to the original form of payment.
Google Stadia hardware refunds: you can keep your controller
As interesting as it is, you will keep your Stadia controller even after the brand has disbursed your hardware refunds. Although you will not be using it on any stadia platform as the brand is shutting down but it’s still useful. While the stadia controllers worked wirelessly with a Stadia WiFi connection, you can enjoy the controller wired with PC gaming and Android devices as well.
