The Big G has been having a lot of activities going on recently both in the hardware and software sections. Speaking of hardware, the Pixel Watch, the mid-range Pixel 6a, and the Pixel Buds Pro have left much for most tech enthusiasts to explore. Then moving to software, we’ve got tweaks to Google Assistant, Google Fits, and even Google Maps. Joining software tweaks, Google Tasks gets an interesting feature.
The Google Tasks app was known for helping with your daily activities by helping you make reminders and create to-do lists. However, a feature has been added that most users think should have been there before.
What’s new about the interesting feature on Google Tasks?
The new feature helps you star a particular task to show how important the task is. That is, users can star a task to prioritize it, showing the need for it over the other tasks. The Big G mentioned when announcing this feature ” we hope this update makes it easier for you to prioritize your tasks and quickly navigate to important tasks across your projects”. The company keeps on defining technology.
A similar app, like Microsoft To-Do, also offers a feature like that on the Tasks app, helping users star tasks to prioritize them. The Google Workspace blog also takes note of this feature, meanwhile, this feat is already seen in the Drive.
How to get the interesting feature on Google Tasks
The feature started rolling out on June 8 but it might not have gotten to some devices as it’s a gradual process. Sources propose that it should have gotten too many devices by June 23rd so users should be patient. In addition, the update is available for both Android and iOS and can be gotten on the app store/ play store
