Google’s in-display fingerprint woes continue with Pixel 6a

Google Pixel bugs on Pixel 6A, June Feature Drop update, pre-order Google Pixel 6a,. fix Pixel 6 series GPS

Google Pixel 6a is currently on pre-sale, with the sales expected to commence in the coming days. We expect the Indian release later this month, and ahead of the release, reports have started surfacing to hint that Google’s in-display fingerprint woes have continued even with the Pixel 6a.

Google Pixel 6a in-display fingerprint woes

Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro have been complaining of fingerprint scanner issues, which seem to get worse with each update, making users glamor for face unlock. Google seems to be working on that, but we hoped they would improve the scanner experience in the Pixel 6a. Unfortunately, that seems not to be the case, as a new security flaw has been detected in the device’s fingerprint scanner system.

According to multiple reports from India, a security issue affects the Google Pixel 6a in-display fingerprint scanner. Supposedly, an unregistered fingerprint can be used to unlock the device, which is evident in many videos on the internet. That is a major security and privacy concern, as someone can access your device without restriction.

Meanwhile, Google is yet to respond, and it’s unclear if its a software or hardware issue, but it seems more like the former. And if that’s the case, we expect Google to resolve the issue with a software update.
