Along with other interesting devices like the Google Pixel Watch, Google Pixel Buds, and interesting software, the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro also came into the limelight at the I/O bringing in some interesting features. There have been some rumors, tweaks, and leaks that keep making up the pieces of the puzzle for full details of the smartphone. Completing the puzzle even further is the hands-on video of the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.
The video was obtained by our sources and can be accessed via the link at the end of this article. Courtesy of Unbox Therapy, we have learned more interesting details about these pieces of tech. Here’s what we know.
What did the hands-on video of the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro reveal?
Looking at the hardware measurements, the Pixel 7 Pro looks a bit narrower and slimmer compared to its predecessor, the Pixel 6 Pro with a 73.2mm width and 8.8mm thickness. However, both Pro smartphones get the same 11.5 mm thickness at the camera bar.
In the case of the regular Pixel 7, it’s quite shorter and narrower than the Pixel 6 according to what sources discerned from the hands-on video. Furthermore, the camera bar and chassis of the Pixel 7 Pro seems to have something like a polished tone while the regular variant gets an aluminum look.
The two-tone finishes present in the Pixel 6 series are not present on the Pixel 7 lineup, although this can be a result of the devices being a prototype. Well, a few other rumors about the Google Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7 Pro have long surfaced online. Starting from the camera, the vanilla Pixel 7 will probably house a dual camera setup with a 50MP main camera sensor, we expect a 48MP telephoto camera on the Pro counterpart.
Still expecting 90 Hz 6.4 inch and 120 Hz 6.7 inch OLED displays on the smartphones, there is still a lot of which we are left in a grey area. However, all our mystery questions will be answered at the event scheduled to hold later in the year.
That said, sources unveiled that the preorder for these phones might start October 6 but let this information be taken with a pinch of salt as we are yet to get an announcement from the Big G.
