What is inside of Redmi K60 and Redmi K60 Pro?
Details of the inside of Redmi K60 and Redmi K60 Pro were obtained thanks to the disassembling by Wekihome. First off, the camera section. The Pro version of the series gets 1/1.49″ IMX890 while the vanilla model gets 1/2″ OV64B40. This means that the brand employed a plastic bracket to adjust the dimensions of the K60’s camera. A major difference between the inside of Redmi K60 and Redmi K60 Pro is the chipset and storage.
The Pro version got the impressive Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset while the vanilla variant got the also impressive Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus. It’s a UFS 4.0 storage and LP-DDR5X RAM for the Pro and UFS 3.1 storage with LP-DDR5 RAM for the vanilla Redmi K60. The motherboard looks the same but there’s a slight difference in the vapour chamber which is employed in the cooling process of the chips.
At the bottom of the motherboard, there’s the Surge P1 charging chip to prevent any damage from charging. In the Pro, there’s an extra chip where the USB C port is to prevent the excess power from the 120W charger damaging the smartphone. The batteries of the two smartphones are a bit similar, however, the Redmi K60 has a slightly bigger rating. Speaking generally, both sleek smartphones have similarities in their physical dimensions. So there you have it, Xiaomi sure did put up their A game with this lineup.
