Xiaomi MIUI is one of the best Android skins out there. Each year, the company releases a new version that comes with more features. MIUI has so many features that we’re yet to discover all of them. We recently found out that you can customize transition effects on Xiaomi Android phones. That’s perhaps another feature that you don’t know exists on MIUI. Luckily, we are going to discuss it in this post and show you how to customize transition effects on Xiaomi Android phones.

How to customize transition effects on Xiaomi Android phones

Meanwhile, transition effects essentially mean different effects when you’re moving between desktops from the Homescreen. Interestingly, it works on every phone running MIUI, meaning it will work on your POCO and Redmi phone, including Xiaomi. Currently, you can choose from four transition effects to customize your Xiaomi phone. They include slides, cross-fade, tumble, and page. Each one has its unique effect, and you will be able to choose your preferred choice with the procedure below.

How to customize transition effects on Xiaomi Android phones

  • Step 1. On the Home screen, hold a space until a few options pop up down the screen
  • Step 2. Once the options have appeared on the screen, click on the gear icon or Settings
  • Step 3. The first option is Transition Effects. You will be able to see the effect of each one when selected. Affect the test running each one, you can then choose your preferred option.
  • Step 4. Click on save by tapping the ✅ on the top right side of the screen
  • Step 5. That’s all on how to customize transition effects on Xiaomi Android phones

Unfortunately, the transition effects won’t work if you have the app drawer configured. However, with the latest MIUI Alpha launcher, you’ll be able to customize the transition effects while keeping the app drawer functional.
