Aside from Google Pixel phones, the Xiaomi Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, and POCO F2 Pro/ Redmi K30 Pro are also participating in the Android 11 beta testing. It’s the Chinese model of these phones that are currently participating in a closed beta test, but Xiaomi is about to extend the privilege to the global models.

How to join Xiaomi Android 11 beta tester team

Irrespective of your location, you can join the Xiaomi Android 11 beta tester team. The application is on until September 9, but you might have read the requirements below.

A must-read before joining Xiaomi Android 11 beta tester team

  • The Android 11 beta tester team will test Global stable beta ROM. As a Beta ROM tester, you’ll experience stability issues and lag, so only apply if you’re willing to test it
  • Once recruited, you won’t be allowed to join another team
  • OTA notices will be in the official Telegram channel you can join here
  • Note: Recruited users are published on the telegram channel, and is another reason to join the channel. 
  • It’s mandatory to backup your data before the update

Android 11 beta tester team requirements

  • Anyone using a Xiaomi phone globally can actively participate in the Android 11 beta test. You’ll be expected to test and give feedback and suggestions to developers. 
  • The account you use during your registration must be logged on your phone.
  • Knowledge of Mi phone flashing tools. Tolerance for issues, willing to cooperate with the engineers about details and information of issues
  • The ability to save a dying phone when flashing fails and willing to take risks about failed updating.
  • Like we said earlier, you must be willing to face some serious issues like battery drain, random reboots, and others.

Eligible device

Unfortunately, only the Xiaomi Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, and POCO F2 Pro users can participate. You can check back later to see if other phones have been added.

Before you apply, first check if you’re running the global ROM. To do that, head over to Settings>> About Phone and check the version from the images below. And if you fall into any of those categories, then follow this link to fill your form and submit.
