Apple will have a launch event next month for the release of the iPhone 16 series. There have been many leaks about the upcoming flagship, and with the latest report, the battery capacities of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max have probably been revealed.
New iPhone battery capacity is mostly revealed after the device launch, but it is different this time. Reports from China suggest that Apple will equip the iPhone 16 Pro with a 3,577 mAh battery, 9% bigger than the predecessor. The iPhone 16 Pro Max will get a 4676 mAh battery, 5% compared to the 4441 mAh battery on the iPhone 16 Pro Max.
Compared to recent flagship Android phones, the iPhone 16 Pro series batteries are a tad smaller, but previous iPhones have shown that bigger battery capacity does not mean better battery life. We expect the upcoming Apple flagship to significantly outperform Android phones, given Apple’s chip and display efficiency.
Interestingly, it seems Apple will improve the charging speed on the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Both phones will support 40 W wired and 20 W MagSafe wireless charging. That is an improvement from the iPhone 15 Pros 27 W and 15 W charging speed, respectively.
Of course, until the device is released, then can we confirm these changes. They remain a rumor till Apple officially releases the phones next month. Nevertheless, we expect most of the rumored changes to be present when the device is official.
