Apple is yet to release the iPhone 15 series, but details of the iPhone 16 series have started appearing online. The latest leak points to an Ultra-wide camera sensor upgrade for next year’s flagship duo.
The iPhone 15 series is expected to debut next month, and while the device is still weeks ahead of the official unveiling, the successor is already in the news. According to reports from Jeff Pu, a tech analyst at Hong Kong investment firm Haitong International Securities, there will be a new Ultra-wide sensor in the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max.
The information came from a research note, where the analyst believes Apple will equip the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max with a 48MP Ultra-wide sensor. Of course, only the Ultra-wide sensor will get the upgrade as the primary camera on the iPhone 14 Pro series already makes use of a 48MP shooter.
Also, the duo will get Wi-Fi 7 support, which is an improvement over iPhone 15 Pro series Wi-Fi 6E. We expect to hear about other improvements in the coming months since the device doesn’t launch till next year.
