Google has started rolling out the July 2024 security patch update to eligible users. It’s coming a few weeks after the June Feature Drop, and we believe it includes a fix for any issues users are facing after the last update. Nevertheless, it will take a couple of days for the update to get to all eligible units.
The July 2024 security update for Pixel phones is rolling out with a build number AP2A.240705.004. Unlike the last stable release, the update weighs only 24.43MB. It fixes critical bugs and improves performance.
According to the July 2024 security patch bulletin, that patch dated 2024-07-01 resolved about nine security issues, while 2024-07-05 fixed 19 vulnerabilities ranging from high to critical. Aside from the critical issues, some non-critical ones were addressed.
