Xiaomi is currently pushing the July security patch update for the Redmi Note 10 Pro. The update is astable MIUI 12.5 based Android 11 build as the company continues to address the problems affecting the device users. Since making it to the shelves, there have been many complaints about the device’s performance. Of course, some of them have been addressed. However, it seems the Proximity sensor issues have remained till now for some people.
Supposedly, Xiaomi fixed the Proximity sensor issue with an update that rolled out some couple of weeks ago, even before MIUI 12.5 seeding. But it seems the problem is affecting at random, and hence, some people are still experiencing it. Also, the green tint, screen flickering, hard screen touch, and few other issues have been improved with each update. And with the July security patch for Redmi Note 10 Pro, hopefully, it will address some persistent issues with the device.
Meanwhile, the July security patch update for Redmi Note 10 Pro is seeding with a version number – MIUI 12.5.6.0 RKFMIXM. From the build number, the update is for the global models. It brings the July 2021 security to increase system security and stability. Of course, it fixes some bugs while improving the device’s performance. You will receive the update with a 319MB package via OTA, which you can also download via the links below.
As usual, the update is on a limited rollout, currently hitting Mi Pilots for preview. It’ll last a few days before the public rollout will commence in the absence of any serious bugs. That is unlikely, though, and hence, we expect the public rollout to start in the coming days.
