There’s a latest Google Tv update, the first major update to this faction of Google, and it will be bringing seemingly interesting changes to the home screen while introducing a new organization for movies and shows.
Further details of the latest Google Tv update
From today, via the latest Google tv update, the “Movies” and “Shows” sections on the Google TV home screen will be removed from the top bar. These tabs, which had been there since the platform’s inception, displayed suggested movies and TV series on dedicated sites.
Such information will now be transferred to a new collection of handpicked pages on the “For You” menu. Google TV will now display four shortcuts beneath the “Continue Viewing” row: Movies, Shows, Family, and Español. The shortcuts take you to four different sites that curate information depending on your choices, or in the case of the Family and Español pages, content geared toward families or in Spanish. The underlying pages have also been updated with a new design that emphasizes featured material while also making it simple to return to previously seen stuff.
Google TV will only display four tabs in the future: For You, Live, Apps, and Library. Along with that, Google is altering the remainder of the design, with the profile button now appearing on the left side of the screen and more visible buttons for settings and search on the right side of the screen. These tweaks via this latest Google Tv update apply to both Google’s Chromecast and Google TV devices supplied by TCL and other companies.
