Xiaomi is now pushing a new update to the Redmi Note 8T, a few days after the Note 8 got an update. The update is currently arriving for the EU Beta ROM users with a build number of MIUI 11.0.7.0 PCXEUXM.
The update is still in the Beta phase and will start rolling out to the public soon. The beta phase is when an update is rolled out to Beta Team, Mi pilot, and random users for testing. They will test the ROM for a specific time then give feedback to developers on areas of improvement. The update will only start arriving for the public when all bugs have been fixed.
Meanwhile, the latest Redmi Note 8T update comes with bug fixes, system optimization, and updated security patch. Unfortunately, the update is still based on Android Pie, but according to recent reports, the Note 8 is currently testing Android 10. Android 10 will arrive for both phones in the same period, likely to be soon.
And just before you download the latest Redmi Note 8T update, check out feedback from people already running the latest build.
Feedbacks on Latest Redmi Note 8T update
Old problems users face with the last update are still there, such as Bluetooth losing connection on a very short distance. RAM available after the update is very poor and is likely to cause lag. The Wi-Fi / BT issues remain unfixed.
However, apart from the old bugs, no new ones are reported, and even the users confirm the update to be working just fine. Therefore, you can still get on the update and improve your system security.
About when Android 10 will come to the phone, it may arrive with the next security patch update. The phone we understand is testing Beta Android 10 ROM, and we expect the Chinese version to start getting it soon, after which the Global users will join as well.
