It’s not a question of time before the stable MIUI 12.5 starts seeding for the Mi 9 Lite and Mi 10 Pro. Both phones are eligible for the update, no doubt, as the Chinese version is already running the latest iteration of MIUI. For starters, the Mi 9 Lite is rebadged Mi CC9, which bagged the update a couple of days ago, while the Mi 10 Pro answers the same name on the global market. And probably to prepare these phones ahead of the planned MIUI 12.5 update, Xiaomi is pushing a new stable update to the duo.
The latest update for Mi 9 Lite and Mi 10 Pro is a security patch build (April 2021) to improve the security and stability of the system. For the former, the update is hitting eligible users with a version number – MIUI 12.0.7.0 QFCEUXM – and weighs in at 195MB. It’s live in Europe, same for the Mi 10 Pro but with a different version number – MIUI 12.2.7.0 RJAMIXM. The update comes in a 267MB package, alongside new features and optimization.
As usual, the rollout is limited to select users for preview. It’s expected to last for a few days, and if successful in the end, the public rollout will commence. We recommend that you download and install the latest stable update for Mi 9 Lite and Mi Pro as it prepares the duo for a seamless transition to MIUI 12.5. So far, the update has arrived for a handful of devices globally, like Redmi Note 10 Pro/Max in India, Redmi Note 10S, and Xiaomi Mi 11.
