The Xiaomi flagship phone of last year is now picking up a new stable update. It has since received the latest MIUI 12 update and is currently receiving a subsequent build, which brings the monthly security patch. The update is still in the beta phase, meaning that only a few users will receive the current build, and after some days, will be ready for public rollout.
The latest Xiaomi Mi 9 stable update, meanwhile, is coming as MIUI 12.0.3.0 QFAMIXM and weighs in at 374MB. It brings the security patch fix for October and increases the system security. Also, it optimized the control center layout in landscape mode while fixing the screen brightness issue and other minor bugs as per the changelog.
Those in Europe are also receiving the latest Xiaomi Mi 9 stable update, which is based on Android 10. According to previous report, the device is currently testing Android 11, and soon it’s going to be ready for public rollout. But before then, there’s a need to install this latest build.
It’s coming with a version number, MIUI 12.0.3.0 QFAEUXM, and weighs 395MB. Unlike the global version of the update, it only brings the security patch for October, improved system security, and optimized the control center layout. It sans the bug fix for the screen brightness issues, but should be part of the build, though.
To scan for the latest Xiaomi Mi 9 stable update, you should head over to the Updater App and manually scan for a new update. There’s also an option to download the recovery or OTA ROM using the link below.
