The Mi A2 Lite has not elapsed its support period yet, amid the reports that Xiaomi has stopped pushing updates to the Android One device. It seems updates were suspended for the device, given that the last build arrived in February. The current month is May, meaning that for two months – March and April – Xiaomi didn’t push any update to the Mi A2 Lite users. However, a new update is now arriving for global users to improve system security and stability.
The latest Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite stable update is hitting the global stable ROM users. It’s a public release, and hence, will arrive on your device in the coming days. The update will arrive with a version number – V11.0.19.0 QDLMIXM – and in at about 25MB package. Of course, from the build number, the update is based on Android 10, and besides, there are no plans of upgrading it to Android 11. The device has already picked up 2 Android OS: Android 9 and 10 – the maximum for an Android One phone. It’s currently on the last days of its security period, which will probably elapse in June this year.
Unfortunately, we couldn’t verify the Android security patch level that arrived with the latest Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite update at the time of this report. But given that the Mi A3 has received the security patch for May, we believe that the Mi A2 Lite Android security patch level has been pushed to May with the new update.
Nevertheless, if you’re using the device and have received the new update, you should let us know via the comment section the Android security patch level. The update, as usual, has fixed some bugs and improved system performance. You can download the ROM below and flash it.
